Shelby Cora Sudbrink, Obituary

Shelby Sudbrink Shelby Cora Sudbrink was born November 27, 1999, in Templeton, Calif. She went home to be with The Lord and become our angel on January 6, 2017. Shelby was a senior at Templeton High School. She attended Templeton schools and played Templeton sports since the age of 5, the perfect compromise for her Bearcat dad and Greyhound mom.

From the moment Shelby was born she was the light of our lives. She was always smiling and laughing and truly enjoying every day of her short 17 years here on Earth. Shelby was a phenomenal athlete, gifted artist and an honor student. A true beauty inside and out; everyone who knew her was in awe of her self-confidence and kindness.

From a very young age, Shelby put others first; unselfish and genuine, she would do anything for the people she loved. And she loved everyone! Our lives will never be the same; a piece of us will be missing forever. But we promise to live our lives to the fullest just like she did, enjoying the beauty around us, knowing she will be watching and guiding us until we meet her again.

Shelby is survived by her parents, Michael and Emily; siblings Hailey, Colby, Kiley and Nyhoni Foster; grand- parents Mary Sudbrink, Pam and Maury Froman, Bob and Martina Smith and Becky Ongie; and great-grandmother Leva Blackis; all of her loving aunts and uncles, Justin and Nicole Fischer, Carie and Craig Giove, Adam Kovach, Nela Smith, Karen Sudbrink, and Ian Charnley, godfather Randall and Crissa Thomas, godmother Yvonne Baughman, Lindsay Covell, Matt and Diana Alldredge, Chad and Christy Heikes, Kyler and Mary Nichols, Brian McElearney, and Michael and Noah Froman. Her cousins will also miss her dearly: Tyson, Jayden and Jarren Fischer, Kaylinn and Nate Charnley, Lilly, Daisy and Jaialen Giove, Heather and Luis Rivera, Will, Josh and Johnny Batten, Brooklyn and Derek Thomas, Madison and Cooper Alldredge, Arianna and Xavier Heikes, Sophia and Kyler Nichols and Ian Davis. The loss of Shelby is also shared by a huge extended family, countless coaches, teammates and friends who are forever welcome in our home and in our lives. Shelby is preceded in death by her grandfather Eddie Sudbrink and baby cousin Michael Ryan Batten.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Oyster Ridge Barn, 5991 W. Pozo Road, Santa Margarita. There will be a BBQ following the service. All who know and love Shelby and her family are welcome.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to: The Shelby Sudbrink Memorial Scholarship Templeton High School Attn: Sheila DeLisle 1200 S. Main St. Templeton, CA 93465. If you have questions about donating call 805-434-5865. Sign her guestbook at sanluisobispo.com/obituaries
